Married Catherine Wettlauffer

William came from Scotland and first lived in Gadshill Perth E, where he operated a feed and fanning mill. About 1905 he moved to Wat where he became a salesman for Wat Manufacturing Co. He built a home on Menno St. and as well the family had a cottage which was then out in the country on Teufelstrasse (Devil’s St.) The area was nicely wooded with a stream flowing through along. Later, this became their permanent home and the street was called McDougall Rd.
