Married Emma Poehlman
Gustave (Gus) Kuntz was a son of David Kuntz brewery owner in Waterloo. In the early 1870’s David Kuntz built a hotel in Hamilton and Gus managed the business for a short time. In the 1880s Gus returned to Waterloo to manage the Alexandra Hotel on the corner of William St. E. and King St. S.

- This is a handwritten biography of Gustave Kuntz from the Ellis Little Papers. This biography has been transcribed exactly as written. Ellis Little was a local historian, who was the principal of Elizabeth Ziegler Public School.On his retirement, he invested much of his time in researching and writing about Waterloo's history. The Ellis Little Papers consist of extensive notes, papers and historical works.
