Married Theresa Bauer

Louis Kuntz was the son of David Kuntz who began the Kuntz Spring Brewery at King and William Sts. In the 1880s, Louis took over management of the brewery, renaming it the Louis Kuntz Park Brewery. He had married Theresa Bauer, a sister of Aloyes and Frank Bauer and when Louis died unexpectedly in 1891, Frank Bauer became manager of the brewery, succeeded upon his death in 1896 by brother Aloyes. Louis’ sons David Jr., William, Herbert were too young when their father died to be involved in management. However when they came of age in 1910 David Jr. became President and William and Herbert became Vice-Presidents of Kuntz Brewery.
