- Description
- These two documents are from the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario's Frequency Standardization Division. The letter is addressed to Nathan Clemmer who was to convert his Sunny Suds Washer from a 25-cycle operation to a 60-cycle operation. Nathan Clemmer also received the agreement receipt for exchanged clocks and fans from the Frequency Standardization Division.
In January and February of 1954, every house in Waterloo was visited by the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario to have their appliances converted from 60 cycle to 25 cycle operation. Clocks and fans that were not able to be converted could be exchanged at the central standardization based on Victoria Street, in Kitchener.
