Description: Photo of Norman E. Hillgartner in World War I uniform. Norman was born to parents Edward Hillgartner and Anna Marie Hillgartner (née Hoffman) in 1895. According to his attestation papers, Norman was drafted in 1918 as part of the 1917 Military Services Act. He died in a Preston car accident in 1943.
