George Kadwell Record Store Top 40 display

This is a photo of a Top 40 record display on the wall and other record displays in George Kadwell Records. Note that the number one record is "The Singing Nun." This album was number one in late 1963 and early 1964. Other records on the Top 40 display include Peter, Paul and Mary's "In the Wind" and Elvis's "Fun in Acapulco." George Kadwell Records opened in 1961 and sold a variety of music-related items, including organs, keyboards and a large collection of classical music records. The store was located in the Waterloo Town Square Shopping Mall from the time it opened until the late 1980s.
