ormer Waterloo resident Scott FHammell owns two world records but now he‘s hoping to help Sir John A. Macdonald secondary school raise a record amount of money for Heartwood Place. Hammell is an illusionist who holds two spots in the Guinness Book of Records, including the mark for "highâ€" est suspended inverted juggling" â€" hanging upside down high up in the air and juggling. The 23â€"yearâ€"old has performed across the country, but now he‘s returnâ€" ing home to perform during SJAM‘s fourthâ€"annual fundraiser for Heartâ€" wood Place, a charitable organization that supports affordable housing in the region. To date, the show and auction held at the school on Laurelwood Drive has raised $40,000, said Ryan Hume, head of the family studies department at SJAM. The biggest item up for auction will be a bus trip for 50 people to have dinâ€" ner in Niagara Falls, Hume said.
