The Waterloo public library has con- firmed Bibliotheca REID library Systems as its vendor for the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) technology. The technology includes tagging all of the items in the WPL collection with microchips. which will enable WPL to introduce self- serve kiosks for library customers to check- out their own miteriais, and for library staff to checkout multiple items in a single, quick transaction.
