Rick Osborne continues to enjoy an incredible tenure with the Golden Hawks and for the fourth consecutive year he has been named OUA Coach of the Year. Osborne guided the Hawks to a 23- 2-2-0 record. Following in the footsteps of teammate and 2006-07 player of the year Andrea Bevan, Lauren Barch took home the OUA Player of the Year award last week and was named aiirst team all-star. Batch finished the season second in OUA scoring, leading the Hawks with l5 goals and 16 assists while playing a lethal role on the penalty kill, with five short handed goal. "Matt is very deserving of this opportunity he has been a great player and an outstanding leader for the Golden Hawks over the past several years," said head coach Kelly Nobes.
