The board of directors of the Waterloo Youth Recreation Council has begun to research the process for opening a youth centre in Waterloo. Presently, we have begun collecting information about the many aspects of running a youth centre. The board of directors had a meeting with Tyler Young, the youth services co-ordinator for the City of Guelph. Tyler has a great deal of experience with the creation of youth centres. He has been involved in the opening and management of youth centres in Guelph, Halton Hills and Oakville.
