"People lead busy lives," Tosello, 38, said. "A lot of people‘s cupboards are disorganâ€" ized and they don‘t have time to really focus on their toâ€"do list. "Basically, I‘m their toâ€"do list specialist. She‘s always had a flair for fashion and design, and used to do display windows for stores in Toronto and at Biba Boutique in Kitchener, along with other area shops. "Next to Joan, who‘s the store‘s owner, she was the best display person we‘ve ever had, and I‘ve been here for 20 years," said Edie Nicholson, the manager of Biba Boutique. "Joan could go away and know that Juliana was going to do a fabulous job on the windows." On the side, Tosello also dabbled in event planning, helping people put on weddings, bar mitzvahs and parties. - But it wasn‘t until she was on maternity leave a few years ago that she started thinkâ€" ing about how busy people‘s lives are. They need help, and she figured she was the perâ€" son to do it. So she launched her company, Shopaâ€" holic Services, which offers a wide range of personal shopping, event planning, enterâ€" tainment and travel services. For instance, she helps people plan a meal, book a ride to the airport, find a docâ€" tor or host a cocktailt party. _ â€" "Lcall, I investigafe, I deliver," Tosello said of her motto. So far, the majority of her clients are lookâ€" ing for an event planner â€" especially to help out with weddings. â€" oo For one, she found the decorator, helped with the flowers, selected the centrepieces and oversaw the setup. "They forgot some spray paint for some cords, so I had to run out myself and do it," she said of her handsâ€"on approach. "I make sure the hall is perfect, everyâ€" thing is OK, and then I step back and just watch everybody." â€" â€" Nicholson can attest to Tosello‘s wedâ€" By Jenntrer OrmstON Chronicle Staff $ MILE WITH CONFID ENCE www.techtowndentistry.com Waterloo‘s Juliana Tosello is working part time as an "executive assistant to the public® through her company, Shopaholic Services.
