Born and raised in Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo, Willy wasn‘t always sure this was the path he would take in life. After the buyout, he started his own relief company, called Kâ€"W PRN Inc., which he and Cathy ran for the past 11 years, during which time they‘ve worked in 60 pharmacies in southwestern Ontario. "Engineering or pharmacy were the two things I considered," he said. "I like the sciâ€" "We‘d seen a lot, and we knew what we wanted, and this was it," Willy said. They were sold on its atmosphere, layout and location inside a medical building â€" the Auburn Medical Centre, across from the Piller‘s plant â€" that has four doctors, a denâ€" tist, a physiotherapist, a kinesiologist and audiologists. Prior to this venture, both worked for Big V pharmacy, which was eventually taken over by Shoppers Drug Mart. Years later, Cathy and her husband, Willy Schill, both pharmacists for more than a decade, are running their own pharmacy in Waterloo. Calhy Schill easily recalls the moment she decided to become a pharmacist. In her teens she struggled with some health problems, and being prescribed by her doctor what she calls "inappropriate" drugs wasn‘t helping. In the end, it was her pharmacist, not her doctor, who noticed the mistake.
