Despite being one of the region‘s smallest public schools, with a student population of 250, they have continued to exceed everyone‘s expectations in their ability to give something back to the community. Their first year the school raised a little more than 300 pairs of socks. In three years they‘ve manâ€" aged to more than triple that total. "It‘s just amazing," said Kavanaugh. "And it‘s been good for the kids to see it from the beginning to the end." And he thinks the students can do the same job in inspiring the wider community to help out and clothe the homeless.
