Dave Jantzi, the coach of the Waterâ€" loo bantam AAA baseball team, was honoured by Baseball Ontario as youth coach of the year earlier this month. Jantzi has been involved in baseball in the community for two decades, in both house league and higher levels. "It feels really good, of course. It‘s nice to be recognized for my years of service," he said. Jantzi, 55, didn‘t get the opportunity to play much baseball when he was a kid but has always loved the sport. He‘s more than made up for that as an adult, both playing and coaching the sport. â€" â€" o _ "I love everything about baseball," he said. "No. 1 is being in a ballpark.
