Mavin Chief Financial Officer City of Waterloo Youth Friendly Communities Recognition Program Are you a service provider that supports recreational programs to youth ages 13â€"19 in Waterioo? The City of Waterloo is currently collecting information to apply to the Youth Friendly Communities Recogmiâ€" tion Program presented by Play Works. A youth friendâ€" ly community "is one that actually supports and proâ€" vides opportunities for the growth and development of youth (ages 13â€"19) through play". When the City of Waterloo is recognized as a "youth friendly" community not only will we be a mentor to other communities but we will be building on our own community. Many forms of formal recognition will take place including a formal presentation that will be made at Queenis Park, as well as a profile published in Municipal World Magazine. This stature of recognition will enable the City of Waterloo to promote youth in our community and appeal for more funding for our youth programs. You can help by providing youth program information: + Organization name and contact information + Brief description of the program or service you provide + Age of youth you serve (Between 13â€"19) + Total amount spent on the youth program per year * The number of youth served in this program per year Additional information is always helpful, documentaâ€" tion to support why your program is "youth friendly".
