The stands were filled with cardâ€"carrying crazies pumped up by the student‘s council at St. David as the Celtics‘ looked for an edge in the battle between the last two undefeated boys highâ€" school hockey teams in WCSSAA league play. And that playoff atmosphere wasâ€" n‘t lost on the Highlanders who weren‘t intimidated by the sea of faces painted Celtic green. The game was tied 1â€"1 heading into the third periâ€" od, on goals by the Highâ€" landers® Troy Parkes and the Celtics‘ Adam Davidson, with both teams playing a fast, physical game that was relaâ€" tively penalty free. j I ‘ The Celtics Mike Lanteigne broke the ice early in the third, scoring a powerâ€" play goal that shifted the momentum to St. David. But the Highlanders‘ Connor McFarlane responded a couâ€" ple of minutes later to restore the stalemate.
