Macdonald secondary school held its 12 Days of Christmas fundraiser last week with games and challenges highlighting a week of events that collected $6,000 for the Tree of Angels and 1,800 food items for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. One of the homeroom challenges was a gingerbread house competition. Teacher Brian Lozon‘s homeroom decided to go all out and build a second storey addition and a double garage. The library applied to the Waterloo Regional Herâ€" itage Foundation for a grant to proceed with the project, and opened the selection process up to the public.
