Adding to ROW‘s chamâ€" pionship qualifier squads were Alana Corrigan, qualâ€" fied for the Eastern Canada Championships, while Luke Summerhayes and Frances Heather qualifying for the Ontario Provincial Champiâ€" onships. ROW Club records were set by Holly Gray and Benâ€" nett. For many of these ROW swimmers, it was the fifth meet in the past two months, and they were ready to race. The club‘s topâ€"10 finish received a lot of help from Ross Bennett‘s fourth place in the overall point standâ€" ings for 13â€"14â€"yearâ€"old boys, Zach Summerhayes‘ sixth and Allan Sundby‘s seventh in the boys 15â€"17 age category. ROW had 27 swimmers qualified to swim at this meet, achieving an overall club standing of ninth. The Youth Cup is one of the fastest short course meets in Ontario for age group swimming so it is no surprise that this meet proâ€" duces national and provinâ€" cial qualifiers. Two of the meets, the Youth Cup and the Mega City Invitational, were held at the Etobicoke Olympium while the third meet, the Guelph Dash for Cash, was hosted out of the University of Guelph‘s aquatic facility. The Region of Waterloo Swim Club competed in three meets simultaneously last weekend. ROW finishes 9th a Youth Cup There were many other Waterloo Regional synchro swimmers who placed at the event: in Tier 1 Raelyn Judge finished 13th, Kelly Thurlow finished 22nd, Kate Steinbach finished 25th, Jessica Tyrdon finished 31st, Katrin Bender Jordan Shantz and Emily Feeney also had top five finâ€" ished at the competition. Rounding out the medals with bronze were Marina Inebeâ€"Gravel in the Tier 5 13â€" andâ€"under competition and Reilly Coombs in the Tier 6 15â€"andâ€"over category. Hannah Verbiski, Alina Ko, Rhianon Klein and Ellen Klea just missed the podium finâ€" ishing in fourth place in their respective categories.
