A women's service group with a focus on high quality public education. especially the education of women. annually CFUW k-W works to provide tens of thousands of dollars for women taking post-secondary education. The K-W club's major fund- raising events appeal to the community while providing vehicles to raise money for local bursaries and scholar- ships. Part of the reason for our energy results from our club's deep involvement in the community We concen- trate on building for the common good, One of the first groups to audit school boards in this region was the K-W' CFUW's education committee. Our public interest group took on the protection of storm sewers and the environ- mental group educated our membership about xero landscaping and water con- servation, long before they were in vogue.
