The club's Krista Dirksen, competing in the Two 3 cate- gory, impressed judges with her floor routine. taking home a gold medal with a score of 9.500. Dirksen also scored big with her beam routine, winning a bronze. She also placed 11th on vault, 19th on bars and 11th in the all-around. Madeline Gardiner, Mikaela Gerber and Mackenzie Pul- ham nearly swept all top spots in the Level 3 Argo 3 division. winning second. third and fourth place respectively in all- around standings. Gardiner won an amazing five medals including gold for Iloor and bars, bronze for beam and silver for vault in all- around placement. Gerber won four medals including a gold for beam and vault, bronze for bars and all-around ranking as well as a fourth place for floor. In the National Open level, the Kips' Brittany Schuetl won a bronze medal for vault and placed fifth on floor, 11th on beam l4th on bars and, ninth in overall placement. In the senior high-performance divisioh. the Kips' Aisha Gerber won two medals - silver on Mor and bronze on vault, as well as seventh on bars and beam and fifth overall. Waterloo's Jennifer Lezeu recently competed at the Roman- ian International Gymnastics meet, finishing in the top 10. Izzeu. who was hand-picked to represent Canada in the international meet, beat out some of the world's best to place in the top 10 of the overall standings, ranking seventh in the all-around. The Waterloo teenager also qualified for finals, earning fifth place for bar finals. Against some of the toughest competitors in the province.
