What if it meant lraveling across North America for months at a time, meeting amazing people, seeing beautiful places and creating your very own cookbook? Well. that's just what lamonl Mackay and Phyllis Him did seven years ago. Since then, the two friends have racked up more that 140,000 kilometres on their motorhome while traw cling the continent seeing __ and tasting --- all it has to offer. "We wanted to travel and write and we just needed a change so we decided that we would hit the road and see what happens." Hinz said. What did happen was the birth ofThe Cooking ladies. Their most recent book. entitled Cet's Get Grilling with the Cooking ladies, hit the shelves last month. lt is their second cook- book and features a collec- tion of barbecue recipes that were inspired hy people and places from every provinu' and territory in Canada.
