The Vikings had lost their previ ous two championship matchups against the Raiders betore finally reversing the trend at the WCSSAA championships last week with a 59â€" 55 decision at Cameron Heights. The Vikings‘ "Twin Towers" of sixâ€"footâ€"nine Gavin Horne and sixâ€" footâ€"11 Jaan Montgomery proved to be the difference in the finals, scorâ€" ing 23 points and 16 points respecâ€" tively after returning to the school this year for another crack at the coveted crown. But these two gentle glants weren‘t finished there, as one title wasn‘t big enough to share between the both of them. So the Vikings followed up their WCSSAA success by scoring 59 points again in Saturday night‘s CWOSSA finals against KCI, this time holding the Raiders to 45. e Waterloo Siskins l seemed to be firmly in control of their firstâ€" round playoff series against the Owen Sound Greys last Thursday, with another domâ€" inating 2â€"0 win leaving them one victory shy of advancing to the Midâ€"Western Junior B semnifinals for the first time in seven years.
