The Regional Municipality of Waterloo is currently undertaking the design of the Hespeler Road widening from Dunbar Road to Munch Avenue in the City of Camâ€" bridge. Widening of this section of Hespeler Road was formerly approved as part of a 1991 Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study. The proposed work includes the widening of Hespeler Road to add an additional through lane in each direction to increase capacity and the construction of a raised centre median to minimize collisions associated with access to Hespeler Road. Widening of this section of Hespeler Road is currently scheduled for 2005. As significant time has elapsed since the approval of the Class EA Study in 1991, interested members of the public are invited to attend a Public Information Centre for this project to review the proposed design and provide comments prior to the finalization of the construcâ€" tion plans. The Public Information Centre will be held as follows: Wednesday, January 19, 2005 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Newfoundland Club 1500 Dunbar Road Cambridge Region of Waterloo and City of Cambridge staff will be present to answer questions and hear comâ€" ments on the project.
