"That‘s what we‘re known for," she said of the pizza. MacLellan has been with the store since high school, when it was operated by her neighbour, Carol Woroch. Now, just a few shart years later, 20â€"year old MacLellan is the pxdud owner of the store, located at 465 Phillip St., in Waterloo. "It was very overwhelmâ€" ing, but it was a good overâ€" whelming," she said. Woroch decided to sell the store last year, and offered it to MacLellan and her family first. MacLellan, who was in university at the time, decidâ€" ed it was a onceâ€"inâ€"aâ€"lifeâ€" time opportunity, and left school to buy the business. With the help of her famiâ€" Iy. she invested in the store and hasn‘t looked back. "It‘s become a family business more than just an individual." she said. Woroch has been helping Maclellan operate the store since September when she took it over, assisting and teaching her the art of bakâ€" ing, packaging. selling and operating the Bon Bon Facâ€" tory. MacLellan said she and her family, who take differâ€" ent shifts helping her run the store, plan to experiâ€" ment with a few new prodâ€" ucts this coming summer. "We‘re going to try to add a couple new things to the store, to keep people comâ€" ing back for more," she said. MacLelian said the Christmas season treated the store very well, from a variety of walkâ€"in customers to local corporations buying gift baskets. "They‘re different and unique; it‘s not something other people have seen before," she said of the basâ€" kets. She said this season‘s topâ€"seller in the store, besides the chocolate pizza, was chocolateâ€"covered popâ€" comm. "People are always shocked when they see popâ€" corn dunked in chocolate," MacLellan said. "People always wonder if it tastes good, then they taste it and they‘re amazed." She said one of the best parts of the job is receiving comments from people about how delicious her chocolate is, and others‘ reactions to how much they enjoy the products.
