Sir Edgar Bauer school, located on Glen Forrest Boulevard, will host a presentation tomorrow night entiâ€" tled "Street Proofing Our Students: Tips for Parents". Const. Maurie Sheppard of the Waterloo regional police will provide safety information to interested parâ€" ents on topics such as strangers, kidâ€" napping, Internet safety and bullyâ€" ing. "I‘ll also be talking to parents about how students should keep safe when they‘re out and about and alone at home," she said. "Students need to know that they should be telling their parents what‘s happening; and parents shouldn‘t just write things off as being a ‘kid thing. Parents need to open the lines of communication with their kids, and tell them that if they‘re ever approached by a stranger, they need to say ‘no‘, yell, run and tell someâ€" body."
