Formal Public Meeting Student Accommodation Study Final Report The Formal Public Meeting to consider the Student Accommodation Study Final Report is scheduled to reconvene no earlier than 7:00 pm on Monday, November 1, 2004 in the Council Chamber, at Waterloo City Centre, 100 Regina Street South. All interested persons are invited to attend the continuation of the Formal Public Meeting. On Monday, September 27, 2004, Waterloo City Council considered the Student Accommodation Study Final Report. At that time, Council resolved to condiâ€" tionally approve the Final Report in principle, subject to further consideration on November 1, 2004. Council requested that staff provide Council with more informaâ€" tion on several topics. Last year fiftyâ€"six groups were recommended to receive grants totaling $176,041.00. Cash Grants are available to organizations that serve the citizens of Waterloo in one of the following categories: Sports/Recreation Community Groups/Neighbourhood Associations Festivals Arts & Culture Organizations The intent of the program is to provide financial assisâ€" tance to enhance the quality of life in the City of Waterloo by fostering & strengthening community organizations that serve the people of Waterioo. General Ehgibility Guidelines: * The Community group must be a nonâ€"profit orgamâ€" zation with an elected Board of Directors * The Community group must be affiliated with the City of Waterloo in accordance with the Community Liaison Policy * The Community group‘s programs or services must serve clearly identified community needs not already adequately addressed by another organizaâ€" tion, be it government, corporate or another nonâ€" profit organization - * The Community group should have demonstrated support from a source other than public funds.
