The Waterloo Wolves limped into Burlington on Sunday and suffered their first setback of the season in a 4â€"3 Leahy tied the game 1â€"1, but Burlington scored three unanswered goals. Rossignoli finally responded for the Wolves in the third, and with 37 seconds left in the game, Ganesha Ashoka netted the third goal. Unfortunately, the Wolves‘ comeback bid came up just short. Zackary Hedley opened the scoring, while Phil Leahy, Kolten Rossignoli, and Fric Heibein put the game out of reach in the third. Waterloo Ravens Peewee "A" team edged out Ancaster 3â€" 2 in a physical contest over the weekend. In the first period, Brianne Witze! fired in a shot from the blue line to hit the top corner and open the scoring. Assists went to Larissa Ostapiak and Kirsten Quistberg. Goalie Emily Hennig deflected a number of tough chances to preserve the win. Midget "A" Ravens The Waterloo Midget "A" Ravens won their homeopenâ€" er with a 3â€"2 win over Camâ€" bridge. Lauren Brignolio scored the next two goals after setups from Jamie Martin and Nicole Jenny Moore opened the scoring in the first on a deflecâ€" tion from Kelly Bankier. In the exciting final frame, with the score tied 1â€"1, Waterâ€" loo drew a penalty shot Amanda Yeck took advanâ€" tage of the mistake with a dazâ€" Zling deke to the left to give the Ravens a 2â€"1 lead. Midget Ravens extend streak The Midget "B" Waterloo Ravens extended their season opening win streak to four with two shutout wins last Kristie Schmuck scored the Ravens lone goal against Camâ€" bridge. She also opened the scoring against Buffalo assistâ€" ed by Meghan Bester. Atom "A" Wolves earn a split The Ravens beat Cam bridge 1â€"0 for their first win of the week, with Karen Fby eamâ€" ing the shutout. Tonia Williams earned the second shutout with a 2â€"0 win over Buffalo. Katryna Stemmler made it 2â€"0 on a beautiful crossâ€"ice feed from Rebecca Bechtloff.
