We had many meetings prior to starting this," he said. He said the group approached the city for a home for the team. Huber said he is disapâ€" pointed in the bad press RIM Park receives on a conâ€" tinuous basis, as he feels it‘s is an excellent facility that is wellâ€"used. He said the crowds that come to watch the Wolves play brings in significant revenue to the city. "We bring in 400 to 500 people, and the money goes towards this," he said, his hand motioning across the main lobby of the facility. Huber said the operating committee works hard to bring in as many opportuniâ€" "7()/()///3 ('ny c ties for the players as possiâ€" ble. That includes financial ones. "We try to make it as easy as possible for the parents to be able to afford for their children to play this level of hockey," he said. "It is very expensive. and the parents have paid a fortune over their children‘s hockey career." As a corporate fundraiser for the team, Huber works to make sure the program can put forward a topâ€" knotch team each year. "You just have to know the right people to approach. It‘s just a lot easiâ€" er to do the fundraising." One of the deals Huber helped to work out was with Ery Coach Lines, who have provided the Wolves with a tour bus, with the team logo across the side, that takes them from game to game. "It just brings the whole level of the team up to a very high standard. It makes the young men look like profesâ€" sionals," he said. "The younger kids look forward and they really want to play for the team." Huber said a mentor proâ€" gram for younger children is in the works, to give younger kids someone to look up to, and the older players a sense of commuâ€" the community," he said. "Marmnie (wife) and I both feel there is a need for peoâ€" ple to be actually there and helping young peopie in the community.
