"This just sort of came to our mind as a way to help. Hospitals always need money." Reinhardt said he‘s always been aware of the devastation cancer can cause. The audacious, precedentâ€"shattering, inspiraâ€" tional, tabooâ€"defiling hoodlum flamboyance of Cooper did more than forever alter the face of rock ‘n" roll as we now know it. Rock legend Alice Cooper will bring his show to Kitchener‘s Centre in the Square Sept. 30. He virtually invented rock as theatre, created new fashion trends, sparked a new sexual revolution, established higher standards for teenage decadence, and found time on top of all this to write and record a library of classic rock ‘n‘ roll albums. Cooper. also known as the grandfather of shock rock, brought much more to the rock arena than boa constrictors and simulated decapitations. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum enshrined his "I‘m Eighteen® as one of the 50 most important songs in the history of rock ‘n‘ roll. In addition to classic hard rock anthems like "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "School‘s Out," Cooper unleashed rollicking barroom rockers like "Under My Wheels" and tugged at the heartstrings with cuts like "Desperadoa" and "Hello Hooray". The Eyes of Alice Cooper is a bold step forward with a nod to his past. This album features new songs already destined to be hits, such as "Novocaine".
