_ __s â€" SPRING HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!E The City of Waterloo is a great place to live, work., study and play. As residents, we are proud of our many civic achievements including the ongoing development and maintenance of pleasâ€" ant and attractive neighbourhoods. As the snow melts, it reveals garbage and debris that has lain in hibernation over the winter. Take a few minutes today or tomorrow â€" the sooner the better â€" to pick up the garhage on your lawns and dispose of it on your garbage day along with the rest of your household garbage. You‘ll be surprised how clean your neighbourhood will look when all of those candy wrapâ€" pers. potato chip bags. pop cans, juice/water bottles and other assorted papers and containers are removed. You may not have thrown them there â€" of course you wouldn‘t â€" but it is your responsibility to keep your yard clean and clear of debris. Some of the things you should clear from your property are: * DerelicUdiscarded motor vehicles â€" these are vehicles that are unlicensed or the validation sticker has expired. These vehicles must be either stored in an enclosed garage or storage facility until the license and validation stickers are purchased. * Unwanted items or items of no value â€" any items of value must be stored indoors. Any items that you do not intend on using should either be put out on your garhage day. or taken to the Erb Street landfill site. Garbage must be put out properly to ensure pickâ€"up Refer to vour garbage and recycling fAyer from the Regron for further information or check out their website at w ww.regron waterloo.on ca/waste * Garhage must he stored in proper containers with lids (if stored outdoors) Please Note: THE CITY OF |: 2 4& Garbage should not be put at the curb sooner than 7:00 p.m. the day prior to the regâ€" ular pickup. Containers must be returned to the private property by 9:00 p.m. of the day of the collection. HAVE YOU STARTED CLEANING UP YOUR YARD??? Let‘s Work Together to Maintain Our Neighbourhoods!
