The Regional Municipality of Waterloo is undertaking a Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study to consider road widening on Erb Street from Erbsville Road to proposed tra Needles Boulevard (130 meters west of existing West Hill Drive) in the City of Waterloo. The improvements are intended to address concerns regarding potential safety and operational problems that will occur as a result of changing traffic patterns associated with the opening of Ira Needles Boulevard from West Hill Drive (500 meters south of Erb Street) to Erbsville Road (150 meters south of Keats Way). A Recommended Design Concept has been developed for this project that includes the reconstruction and widening of Erb Street to provide four lanes and cycling lanes. The Regional Planning and Works Committee will consider endorsing the Recommended Design Concept at its regular meeting to be held as follows: Date: Time: Location: Interested members of the public are invited to attend this meeting to express their views on the Recommended Design Concept and any other project issues.
