Last year fiftyâ€"four groups were recommended to receive grants totaling $177,541.00. Cash Grants are available to organizations that serve the citizens of Waterloo in one of the following categories: Sports/Recreation Community Groups/Neighbourhood Associations Festivals Arts & Culture Organizations The intent of the program is to provide financial assistance to enhance the quality of life in the City of Waterloo by fostering & strengthenâ€" ing community organizations that serve the people of Waterloo. General Eligibility Guidelines: * The Community group must be a nonâ€"profit organization with an elected Board of Directors * The Community group must be affiliated with the City of Waterloo in accordance with the Community Liaison Policy * The Community group‘s programs or services must serve clearly identified community needs not already adequately addressed by another organization, be it government, corporate or another nonâ€" profit organization * The Community group should have demonstrated support from a source other than public funds. Signage for this parking restriction is posted at the City limits of Waterloo along all major roadways entering the municipality. Overnight parking on City Streets is prohibited year round. Every household within the City of Waterloo will be allowed a maximum of eighteen (18) exempâ€" tions per year.
