A small souvenir from Manitoba Immanuel Pentecostal Church is holding a summer day camp beginning July 21, running through Aug. 29. Each week features a difâ€" ferent theme such as Jungle Safari‘, ‘Water Works‘, ‘Art/Music Mania® with day trips to the African Lion e received our first Wwindshield chip in Manitoba. The motorhome was less than three months old. We had driven through several miles of construction on the Trans Canada Highway around Lake Superior withâ€" out any problems. As soon as we entered Manitoba‘s fourâ€"lane super highway, a little car passed us and threw a stone. It is one of our souvenirs of Manitoba. After a family reunion in Winnipeg, we took a side trip north to Dauphin, PHYLLIS HINZ & LAMONT MACKAY where Lamont‘s mother was born. Lamont‘s grandfather was a doctor in Dauphin in the early 1900s. The féwn lies in a fertile valley. Flat farm fields spread away from both sides of the main highway. This terrain is similar to the homeland steppes of the Eastern European immiâ€" grants who helped to estabâ€" lish Dauphin in the late 1800s. Safari, Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, Sportsworld and much more. Every year, midâ€"summer, Dauphin becomes engulfed in the colors, music and food of the National Ukrainâ€" ian Festival. Floral headâ€" dresses, embroidered blousâ€" es, swirling skirts, energetic music and â€" traditional Ukrainian food entice visiâ€" tors from around the world.
