The following is part of an ongoing series of pieces by local artist Peter Etril Snyder. In the series, Peter will describe for us some of the works he has created. My late fatherâ€"inâ€"law spent many enjoyable holiâ€" days as a child on his uncle‘s farm. This bridge, which is easily visible from the road on the north side of the Conestogo River west of St. Jacobs, is a charming part of that property. The stream that flows under the bridge makes its way to the Conâ€" estogo River. Opera Ontario to host second annual Opera Bowl An evening of friendly, competitive fiveâ€"pin bowlâ€" ing with prizes and enterâ€" tainment, the Opera Bow!l is an opporsunity for corporaâ€" tions and individuals to support their local opera company through this unique social activity. Bowlers are asked to bring out their retro clothes and strut their stuff in a homage to a bygone era. pera Ontario will be hosting the second annual Opera Bowl in Kitchenerâ€"Waterloo, April 15 from 7â€"9 p.m. in order to raise imporâ€" tant opera dollars, each team is encouraged to colâ€" lect pledges. Prizes will be awarded to those for best costume, highest and lowest score, and most pledges acquired. A grand prize will be offered from BK Motors. The cost to participate is $30 for individual registraâ€" tion or $250 for corporate team registration. Registraâ€" tion includes: bowling, entertainment, refreshâ€" ments, and equipment rental. This event will be of interest to those looking for something different or are a company interested in building team spirit by chalâ€" lenging coworkers, colâ€" leagues, neighbours, friends and family.
