LIFESTYLE The hunt is on April 19 during the annual Joseph Schneider Haus Easter Egg Hunt. â€" The Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10 a.m., rain or shine. Hundreds of coloured eggs will be hidden on the museum‘s grounds for children eight and younger to discover. Participants must be accompanied by an adult, and are encouraged to bring a small Easter basket. Once the eggs have been collected, children can return them to the Easter bunny and receive some candy. A small number of onion skinâ€"dyed eggs with tradiâ€" tional scratched designs will also be hidden. The lucky children finding these eggs will receive a special Easter treat. New for this year‘s hunt is a special designated area for children aged three and younger. Watch for signs that mark this area. Lines for the hunt will form at both the Queen and David Street entrances. There is no charge for this funâ€" filled outdoor event now in its ninth year. House of Friendship is launching a new fundraisâ€" ing event â€" an exhibit of commercial computers in Canada from 1954â€"1984 â€" April 12 at the former Lang Tannery Building. The fundraiser is being organized by Kevin "The Nostalgic Technophile" Stump, who owns a collection of the first generation of computers in Canada. He is opening his display to the public from 10 a.m.â€"4 p.m. at the warehouse on Joseph Street in Kitchener, with entrance to the display at door #6 between Victoria and Francis Streets. Stumpf‘s display includes a variety of consoles, card sorters, control panels and computer artifacts from IBM and other companies representing the early days of commercial computing in Canada. Those with an interest in the history of computers will find the display interesting, and Stump will he on hand to speak to visitors and demonstrate his equipment.
