The Public Library Board‘s legislated mandate is to provide a comprehensive and efficient public library service that reflects the community‘s unique needs. Due to the resignation of a Board member, one citizen appointment shall be made. The Public Libraries Act requires that a candidate must be at least 18 years of age, a Canadian citizen, and reside in the City of Waterloo. The appointment is on a volunteer basis.
