Kitchener-Waterloo A'sgludent is making reat employment connections and taking on his future with the help of the Kitchener Human Resource Centre of Canada for Students (HRCC-S). Jonathon Smith. a 22- year-old student, has been named Odd Job Squad Super Student by the local HRCC-S. Through his dedication to the HRCC-S’s Odd lob Squad, Smith has shown employers that he goes above and beyond what is expected ofhim. It is Smith's willingness to do almost any job and his reliability that make him a Super Student. The staff at HRCC-S was excited to acknowledge Smith's success during Odd Job Squad Week, which took place in July. To promote Odd Job Squad Week, Smith attend- ed the charity car wash and barbecue. Program creates student success stories Smith once again proved to be a Super Student by donning an apron and help- ing the SEOs flip burgers for the day. The HRCC-S staff appre- ciated his help, and Smith thought, "it was actually a lot of fun." The centre will be a state-of-the-art $20 million facility with many amenities, including a wellness centre, full-service dining room, quilting and craft areas, library and numerous other special features. These ari1enities will provide many opportunities for residents to interact with the larger community in order to create a stimulating environment for healthy aging.
