But in acknowledging the positive, she can‘t help but reflect on those who weren‘t as fortunate. Delyea said she‘s lucky in a lot of ways. She‘s rarely in the hospital, and she‘s able to maintain a healthy body weight that, she said. will only benefit her later in life. _ Delyea said it‘s hard not to be depressed over her list of ailments. On top of the cystic fibrosis, she also lives with diabetes and osteoporosis. But even in her darkest moments, there is one topic that never fails to put a smile on her face. "My friends," she said. "They help get me through." "And the fear of death is always there, especially when I get a cold. A cold can become so much more, like pneumonia. All you think is ‘What‘s next?" It‘s scary, and frustrating at the same time. I can‘t make plans to do things ahead of time because I never know if I‘m going to be sick or not." "Living with this has been difficult," she said. "Growing up I was always the sick one. Other kids used to make fun of me because I was coughing all the time, and had to spit all the time. She told Codrington the good, the bad and the ugly aspects of having cystic fibrosis, and what has kept her going during bouts with pneumonia when part of her wanted to give up. Nacel Canada â€" a nonâ€" profit international students exchange organization for the past 40 years â€" is looking for a host family. The Ukrainian Easter Egg Festival is a unique culturâ€" al event and bazaar, sponsored annually by the Ukrainâ€" ian Catholic Women‘s League of the Church of the Transfiguration in Kitchener. Taking place March 30 at the Ukrainian Catholic Centre, located at 15 Michael St. in Kitchener, the event offers guests the chance to shop, as well as enjoy a hot traditional meal or just a beverage and a slice of torte. Admission to the festival is a nonâ€"perishable food item for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, or $1 to help support a soup kitchen in the Ukraine. Children 12 and under are free. Festival hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., however people line up as early as 8:30 a.m. in anticipation of the event. Festival volunteers dress in richly embroidered blouses and shirts, adding more colour to the event.
