Two Waterloo teams win at Futsal Classic The Waterloo Under 12 and Under 14 girls futsal teams came away with titles from the first annual Waterloo Futsal Classic played at RIM Park last The Waterloo Under 14 girls defeated the Waterloo Under 13 team 3â€"2 in the finals of the tournament on a penalty shot in the dying minutes of a well played match. The Under 14 goal scorers were Kristi Schnart with two goals, and Sarah Guinta with the winner. Replying for the Underâ€"13 girls were Andrea Davidson and Kristen Baker. In roundâ€"robin play, the Under 14 team finished with a record of 3â€"1. Scoring in roundâ€"robin _ play _ were Amberleigh McCulligh, Schnart, Guinta and Leanne â€"The Under 13 team girls finâ€" ished with a similar 3â€"1 record. In the Under 12 division championship, the Waterloo Under 12 girls defeated the Burlington Under 11 Xplosin team 3â€"0 on goals by Jessica Carter, Sarah Houghton and Shelby McCulligh. Earning the shutout was Kayla Schnart. In eartier roundâ€"robin play, there was a threeâ€"way tie for first between the Waterloo Under 12 girls, the Burlington Xplosin and the Waterloo Underâ€"11 Huskies. All three teams had identiâ€" cal 2â€"1 records, however the Huskies were eliminated from the finals on goal differential Scoring for the Under 12 girls in roundâ€"robin play were Carter, _ Houghton _ and McCulligh.
