The Regional Municipality of Waterloo has established a Landfill Liaison Committee for the Waterioo Landfill Site. All members of the public are invited to attend the committee meetings. The goal of the Committee is to identify operational problems that affect local residents such as litter and noise and to resolve those issues in a cooperative manner. The next meeting of the Liaison Committee is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5th, 2002 at the Waterloo Landfill Administration Building, 925 Erb Street West, Waterloo. Subsequent meetings will be held quarterly on the first Tuesday of May, 2002 and August, 2002 at the same time and location. The Sabres went undefeated in their five games during the annual Waterloo Minor Hockey Christmas tournament, winning the title by outscoring their opponents 19â€"6. The Sabres opened the tournament by groundâ€" ing the Eagles 3â€"1. The Sabres then rolled over the Rockies 5â€"0 before finishing the roundâ€"robin undefeated with a 5â€"1 win over the Rangers. in the semifinals the Sabres faced the Leafs and won the seeâ€"saw battle 3â€"2. The Sabres then faced the Rockies again in the finals, who proved to be much stiffer end an amassed a record of 1â€"2â€" The Wildcats outscored the opposition 9â€"7, but were only able to win their first game against the Arapahoe Ice competition than in their first meeting. However, the Sabres still managed to come out ahead in a 3â€"2 final.
