HopeSpring to present sixth annual dinner and silent auction The fundraising event generates awareness and funds for HopeSpring, a support _ centre _ where patients and their loved ones can find support after diagnosis and during treatâ€" ment. The â€"Spiritual Warrior Scholarship honours the memory of Dan Blasutti. A former assistant viceâ€"presiâ€" dent at Manulife Financial, Blasutti was diagnosed with cancer in 1992. Following his diagnosis, he helped found HopeSpring, and began a journal about his illness called "Spiritual Warrior: One man‘s cancer journal." The scholarships recogâ€" nize young people who reflect Blasutti‘s gémple of extraordinary strength, spirâ€" it and commitment in dealâ€" ing with cancer.
