ROW hands out its year end awards The Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks men‘s hockey team looked to improve their 2â€"1 record to start the season with backâ€"toâ€"back games against the Lakehead Thunderwolves last weekend. The Hawks won the first game Saturday night at the Waterioo Memorial Recreation Complex 2â€"0 with the game winner coming from Kevin Corso. The Hawks fell short in their attempt for a weekend sweep losing 5â€"3 to the Thunderwolives the next day, game action pictured right. The Hawks trailed 5â€"1 going into the third, but their comeback fizzled after two Hawks split against Lakehead be there.
