The current plan would see the develâ€" opment company renovate the existing 34,000 square feet of factory space on the site, which has fallen into disrepair and become an example of urban decay, and turn it into 103 bedrooms to meet the local student housing crunch. That lack of affordable student housing will only get worse over the next two years as both local universities prepare for the double cohort in 2003, which will see two graduating classes coming out of province‘s high schools at the same time with the elimination of the OAC year.
