The Red Dogs won the 2001 North Waterloo Rural Midget Fastball league after finishing the regular season with an impressive 16â€"0 record. During the league playoff, held in Shakespeare on the last weekend of August, the Red Dogs went undefeated again to win the league championships. The Red Dogs defeated South Woolwich to cap a perfect 19â€"0 season against league competition. The team also had a strong showing at the Ontario Midget Elimination tournament, and at the Ontario Softball championships bringing home a silver medal in the B Category competition.
