Evita is the story of Eva Duarte who grew up a poor child in Argentina. c Her determination to find a better life for herself and those like her, inspired a nation. Starting as a model, then radio personality, Eva moved up the social ladder, but never abandoned the people who loved her and saw her as the "spiritual leader of the nation." It was as an actress that she met Colonel Juan Peron, and the two became as adored by the lower class as they were loathed by the Bourgeoisie. Evita is best known for its music, composed by Sir Andrew Lioyd Weber, with lyrics by Tim Rice. "Don‘t Cry For Me, Argentina‘, "Another Suitcase In Another Hall" and "Oh, What A Circus" are just a few of the timeless classic songs in this rollickâ€" ing musical masterpiece.
