The following is part of an ongoing series of pieces by local artist Peter Etril Snyder. In the series, Peter will describe for us some of the works he has created. The picture of young women enjoying the necesâ€" sary task is very typical of the oldâ€"time rural philosoâ€" phy. _ s For this painting, I removed the background farm equipment from the actual situation and played up the colour. I even added our little cat lying on the seat asleep. My desire in all my work is to intensify the impact of the main theme, while still staying true to the feeling of the situation. This kind of composing of pieces is an approach interâ€"Galactic Theatre Collective will present The Sound of Two Hands Clapping, an evening of two oneâ€"act plays, this month at the Registry Theatre.
