"I did some community theâ€" atre in high school, but I didâ€" n‘t take it too seriously until I earned a scholarship to an arts school in New York. I realized that New York was the best place to be if I wantâ€" ed to get into the business. But I also left it open that if it wasn‘t for me, I‘d move on." But by the time she gradâ€" uated, Farrar knew she‘d found her career of choice. At first, she kept her home in New York, but chose to make a living as a cruise ship performer. That lasted a few years until more creative roles began floating her way. Over the years since, she has claimed parts in a number of Broadway productions, including Aida, Once Upon a Mattress and Parade. Her career also spilled over into film and television when she landed roles in major motion pictures such as Basketball Diaries and City Hall, as well as smallâ€" screen roles on All My Children and Cosby Mysteries. _She said each experience has helped shape her into the performer she is today.
