The City of Waterloo, Affordable Housing Task Force is seeking community members to participate in an Affordable Housing Challenge What is the Affordable Housing Challenge? The purpose of the Affordable Housing Challenge is to involve interested community members in developing a list of possible ways to improve the availability of affordable housing in the City of Waterloo with minimal reliance on government resources. How will the Affordable Housing Challenge work? Participants in the challenge will be divided into selfâ€"directed teams. Each team will have four weeks to independently develop a list of ways to improve the availability of affordable housing in the City of Waterloo. Each team will present their ideas at an affordable housing challenge on May 12th, 2001. The ideas generated in the challenge will be considered by the City of Waterloo Affordable Housing Task force in the develâ€" opment of an Affordable Housing Action Plan.
