"All I did was send in some suggestions for some minor tweakings on what we are already doing" said the City's modest organizational leader of aquatics. Some of his suggestions included ensuring on a regu- Jar basis that the pool’s sen- sors and automation are working properly, ensuring the air temperature is one degree over the water tem- perature at all times to pre- vent loss of heat in the pool, and closely monitoring the amount of fresh water the City is pumping into the pool. But Pemberton said he never expected his ideas to be recognized with such an honour "I was very surprised. and even a little embarrassed." he said with a laugh. "I only gave some new ideas on things that should be work- ing well anyway." “His co-Woriiers. however, gave Pembenon full credit for his efforts.
