For example: Are they aware of the number of seniors in their constituency? Are the numbers rising? PHFEF CHRONLCI Is there enough senior housing? Who is the local housing administrator? Does your area have medical shortcomings such as not enough doctors or hospital services? What is the incidence of elder abuse? What mechanisms are in place for community and support services, long term care and accessible transâ€" portation? Just one mutual fund am a proud owner of Inumerous mutual funds and have always wonâ€" dered if I had to buy just one mutual fund, which one should I choose? Mutual _ fund _ guru Gordon Pape has always implied in his "Buyers Guide to Mutual Funds" published once a year that Temptation Growth should be this fund. I believe that there are three other funds available that can give you the same 13â€" 1690 longâ€"term gain but can do it with less volatility. They are: 1) AGF American Tactical Asset Allocation, 2) Fidelity Global Asset Allocation, 3) C.1. _ International Balanced. Mayor Joan McKinnon City of Waterloo Waterloo tma cim on Does your municipality have a seniors‘ advisory board for local concerns â€" if not, why not? Go t_fJ your allâ€"candidates meetings: â€" â€" If you care about making seniors‘ voices heard, get involved! Yours for the betâ€" terment of seniors. The AGF _ American Tactical Asset Allocation fund is more or less based in one country and for this reaâ€" son should not be considâ€" ered a one decision fund. It‘s lowest calendar year retu‘n is .60 per cent (1994). The Fidelity Global Asset Allocation Fund is more internationally diversified, but is still based largely in the United States. Thus, this fund is not a true internaâ€" tional fund but more like an American fund with a strong international flavor. It‘s lowâ€" est calendar year return is â€" 4.06 per cent (1994]. The C.1. international Balanced fund is approxiâ€" mately 80 per cent North American but is always at least partially invested in the more remote parts of the world such as Latin America and South Africa. It‘s lowest calendar year return is 13.02 per cent (1996). I have concluded that that if I had to buy just one mutual fund, . the C1 International Balanced fund is the one I would choose.
